Thank you for not rhyming Clay with gay

There was a while where I thought people in the English speaking world where horribly selfish and bad. But Colin and Cassie restored my faith in people without ever really knowing it. Thank you guys. One of the best presents since childhood, when I could get really excited about a Ghost Buster action figure.

Oh and thanks for the cookies, Zara!

A vid response to my invitation

This is a response to one of my vids. I thought it was intentionally hilarious; the interaction between the mom and kids. You'll see.

Let me tell you about ananonanonano-merica

Sorry esoteric title there. Anyways, enjoy the vid.

Via Ben's deft skills

Ben has an a-typical digital camera these days. He built is using the parts of an ancient accordian camera and a modern scanner. There is over a hundred years difference in age between the two, but the results are quite cool. I messed with the contrast a little, so see his blog if you wanna see originals.
Here we have the group back together. I am the one with the puppy.

A man standing next to the newly-weds stares with skepticism at two ghosts.

Another group shot. I know I am overpoweringly sexy, but please, no more fan mail.

Lastly, this is not a Ben-produced image, but rather a panorama my new digital camera put together. I bought a cheap HP Photosmart. Mainly for the panorama functionality. Too bad blogger seems to shrink these so much, even in their linked-to forms.

From Longfellow

Ye are better than all the ballads
That ever were sung or said;
For ye are living poems,
And all the rest are dead.

Guess that friend

The latest post-secret reminded me of friends back in America. Try to guess who. I threw myself into the mix.

The Takeo Crew

This is for a yearbook project someone in the prefecture is throwing together. These are the people I annoy hang out with the most. Keep in mind caricatures are in the spirit of fun, Takeo people! So no complaining I made your head fat or something. Angus.

Another dopelganger

A Rachel clone.
Sorry, people who don't know these people. But there is a site with all the people who's doubles I've found lately to kind of remove some of the insideness from these posts.
Anyways, this double is of Rachel, in concept if not in face...
Don't forget Linus and Kit's doubles while you're here. And of course I have my celebrity dopelganers.

Fukuoka Fully Loaded

Hardrock Cafe. Birthday time (Tan and Reese).
My favorite picture out of the set. This was our "look sexy, guys!" shot. Zooming recommended.

Group shot, with someone cropped (it was a mercy cropping; they blinked).

I don't know.

On the train. If anyone has a picture of me doing "blue steel" please send it along.

Tan wanted to dance with me. He made me the girl, so I shot him with sith lightning. This marks the first male dancing since the spontaneous tangos with Ben of yesteryear.

btw you can hear like an entire Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert on NPR today!

Let's have a piety contest

I had a fabulous time visiting Ben in his new Denver home. We ate at the sushi place three times, and upon seeing the girl that works there, we solemnly resolved to eat there more. Tangent: Have you noticed all coffee shop girls are insanely gorgeous? I think they have a union. No scabs, or other skin conditions, get through the picket lines.

We visited the art triangle, on a search for Harry's new place, and on the whole we were well taken care of. They give you free food, and even wine ("no thanks, I gotta think about the baby now").
Harry's place is quite impressive. He and the art-blokes have built themselves rooms out of two-by-fours and live in a gallery/warehouse.
I solemnly resolve to visit again soon, for friendship's sake, though I plan on seeing sushi girl again.
Clay will never be sorry for his pun-riddled posts

Itenerate heart

"You're Clay; it's nice to finally get to see you."
Tonight felt in many ways like a blind date with B's old friend S. Not that it was too terribly date like; we danced at the masquerade and had some lemonade and herbal tea over a game of chess and talked of Greek civilization and relationships fleetingly. B had given me the impression that she would talk of things out of my ken, but I was pleased to find myself with no problems. Overall a nice night.

Last night the walmart click (as we are soon to become known if we keep the late-night shopping up) decided to make Dr. Pepper by combinging dry ice and prune juice. Results were more bitter than we expected, but it sure was fun making it. Posted by Hello

here we see the cauldron/sink in which we dumped the remaining dry ice Posted by Hello

conversations

The following is a snippet of a conversation about my eerie ability to sneak up on people without being noticed. I always scare the crap out of people, thought I don't employ this supernatural power on purpose.

me:"I think I must be part ghost."
Brit:"maybe part vampire?"
me:"yeah, let's go with that, it sounds more romantic."
--

This conversation was sparked after I spent some time in a coffee shop. Just guess what the agenda there was.

Jeremy:"you're not supposed to talk about sex, politics, or religion at the dinner table."
me:"Yeah, and everyone does it. It's annoying in the extreme."
Jeremy:"So I wonder what Jesus talked about at dinner."
me:"The weather."

blessed are the low pressure fronts, for they bring the balmy climate

Blessed are the forgetful

Went to Denver and hung out with Ben for the weekend. Ben almost killed us with his driving many times; makes me feel like I've rubbed off on him.
We saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, it reminded me of my decision that I made to accept the bad stuff in my life and experiences.
Left arm's all tan from traveling via car.
Ben's a good friend, I hope I don't remind him of his own painful past too often.
