Guess that movie part 1

hey a new twist on our old game... let's see if the old guard can reclaim their former glories with this one; Vlad and Laura have been scoring lately.

Guess this movie based on the quote:
"I suppose I could be pissed off about what happened to me. But it's hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst."

come together

this link is the flash animation I promised you over the phone, Ben: Beatles.

And I really want a mindball. A game you play by controlling your brainwaves.

Practicum ended today. I had the kids draw self portraits without drawing their faces. I didn't count on them being so literal. I'll have to post a couple drawings that they gave me.

can't stop

Try this, which is a guaranteed good time.

Hypnogogic haze

I've been real tired lately, in a hypnogogic haze. No time, can't sleep; class will eat me. Between that and the spell check not working, expect some misspelled words.

The kids found out I'm an artist today, and I was soon conscripted to draw dragons. Many dragons. And a cowboy in a hot rod with flames on its side.
The kids are starting to think I'm cool, which feels pretty cool. Two girls seem to have crushes on me, and I spent most of the time with kids following me, grabbing my hand, or just standing by me on the kickball field. ^_^

This may be the funnest job ever.

Kickball Champion!!

I did my first practicum today, and the kids immediately decided that I was perfect kickball material. "You're on our team!"

So I played. My first hit was bunt, which dissapointed the kids. I was trying to not unbalance the game too much.
Second time at bat, I kicked it deep into right field. A kid tryed to block my way, confident that I wouldn't bowl him over. His gamble didn't fail, but it didn't pay off either. I simply scooped him up and continued running, child firmly tucked into my right arm.
In-field home run! Does it count for extra if you bring the second baseman with you?
No doubt I'll be expected to play with the kids tomorrow. Being a teacher is so cool.

Competition

I am way too competitive. But not in the standard way. I often get upset if I suddenly discover someone has been liking the same things I do.
"What do you mean Carravagio is your favorite artist too?!" Damn it!

pick of the day: What my drawing project looked like in class. That eye looks like its about to fall off. People in the class did not like this project at all.

Old habits die hard

When I was about five, my family was in Italy, and we went to see Michelangelo's David. After a few minutes, I got bored and felt crowded (hundreds of people packed the place), and I tried to ask my parents to go. But they were too busy talking with some friends to pay attention, and so I decided to go to the car on my own.

The car was locked when I got there, so I started to head back. I got lost for about fifteen minutes, but I eventually found my way back to the museum. Naturally, my parents were furious with me.

I realized the other night that I am still wandering off on my own when I am not happy with how things are going, and making my companions upset. I also realized how long I've been doing this sort of thing.

Will I ever stop wandering? Will I ever be able to be content?

alien 4

I saw alien resurrection today, to see what the famous French director of Amilee did with the series. I am grossed out. Seriously, what was going on with xenomorphs becoming more human? And the birth scene? Ew.
Overall, I was disappointed that the movie didn't seem to have the weirdness I was expecting from this director. Very cthulhuish though.

Jesss!

(Jes is yes with a spanish accent)

I have found a weapon with which I can fight zombies. This is frickin' awesome. 20 foot flames?!

I will be prepared when the apocalypse comes.

Guess that song part yon (4)

Now then, I know there was a request for a tie-breaker, but to be quite frank this is probably not the last guess that song. I do them to express what I'm feeling. That said, this one is fair game.

Pounding heart you shake me
I have never been so close
To an earthquake
Take my word I'm trembling
For I know
What I have felt

Pounding heart believe me
Rain is sweeter than
The spring water fountain
Take my hand and lead me
To a place
For us to melt

Into one another

Think the inconceivable
Desire the untouchable

I've come to understand that bliss
Is quite impossible and if
I'll ever find a way
I'll claim another life

I've come to understand that kiss
Was quite impossible and if
I'll ever find a way
I'll halt the turn of time

Pounding heart awake me
I have never been so far
From the shore
Waves mount up around me
Still I don't want to go back

Loving heart believe me
Your sincerity will
Give me the strength to
Work my way through the sea
Memorize the words you said

Think the inconceivable
Desire the untouchable

I've come to understand that bliss
Is quite impossible and if
I'll ever find a way
I'll claim another life

I've come to understand that kiss
Was quite impossible and if
I'll ever find a way
I'll halt the turn of time

Guess that song part threve (a metaphysical mixing of the concepts three and five)

If anyone knows this one I will be mightily impressed. It was in a recent motion picture. Hint 2: Edward Norton Cameoed. If you're stumped or curious, I can send you the song through messenger.

And the night sky blooms with fire (Y la noche que se encendia)
And the burning bed floats higher (Y la cama que lleva)
And she's free to fly (A volar)

And all of the dark days
Painted in dark grey hues
They fade with the dream of you
Wrapped in red velvet
Dancing the night away
I burn

Midnight blue
Spread those wings
Fly free with the swallows
Fly
One with the wind

Y él es flama que se lleva
Y es un pájaro a volar
Y es un pájaro a volar
En la noche que se encendió
(...)
Luces del cielo

And the night sky blooms with fire (Y eres flama que se lleva)
And the burning bed floats higher (Y eres un pajaro a volar)
And she's free to fly (Y eres un pajaro a volar)
Just a swallow in the sky (Y eres la noche que se encendia)
...
much brighter (bla bla bla y la oscuridad)

Burn this house
