Connections
Anyone else remember this series? It was a great staple in otherwise really cheesy TLC chanel programing. A smart show. I miss feeling kinda smart; I borrowed Brain Training from the gf and it kicks my butt.
You streamlined this entire video on to your blog! I vaguely remember watching this in some science class long ago. I thought the wheel (or the containment of fire)would be considered the best invention of the ancient world. "Brain Age" can be tough in your twenties, because to score your own age would mean getting a close to ideal score. Aim for a score in your thirties. If it makes you feel better I know a 23 year old who scored in his 80's.
I did an anthropology module as part of my degree called 'The Social Production of Technology' which focused on a lot of the issues in this programme. It's one of those subjects that isn't often considered, but is totally amazing once you do :) It helped that my lecturer was crazy too. He made things even more interesting ;o)
Unfortunately I never saw this programme :( It is does seem like it would be an erudite light amongst most regular TV broadcasting.
We need shows like this to take over from the current trend of reality shows which seem to be hitting the screens :oS
